has anyone else had this? IUD problems

I had my IUD (Paragard) placed a month ago and i've had only problems since. I got a really bad infection that's been going on for three weeks now and i'm on two different types of antibiotics. i only feel good on some days, others I have extreme pain and fatigue. I had to get an ultrasound but it didn't reveal anything. sometimes I wake up at 2:00 in the morning and have to sit on the toilet for 30 minutes because i have painful diarrhea and discharge and i can't go back to sleep because of the pain. this whole time i've been thinking to myself, this will be worth it as long as i don't get pregnant and my infection goes away eventually.. but now my period is two days late and i'm completely stressed out to the max and i've never felt so sad and worried. i just want to know if this has ever happened to anyone else. i'm so scared.
