pineapple induces labor?!?🍍

Just read a thread on here about drinking pineapple juice to induce labor? Is this true? I have a juicy one sitting in my fridge that I've wanted to cut into for days now but haven't . Is it really that risky?

I've never heard of drinking pineapple juice. I have heard of eating pineapple, but you'd literally have to eat like 5 for it to throw you into full blown labor.

You'd have to eat several whole pineapples - core and all. And even then, it may just be an old wives tale.

I don't believe it helps with labor but I do believe it helps prevent mastitis!! I suffered with my first son and so I heard though the grapevine drinking it about a week or two prior to delivery can reduce the chances of mastitis. I tried, it worked, I was so grateful!

You may hear many crazy things but some are simple and worth your effort. Natural foods have many healing powers :)
