Are there any women who are more afraid of needles than the actual delivery?

Context: I have a reflex where I pass out during shots, the sight of needles and blood. I also feel really dizzy and nauseated just reading about needles, surgery, and blood in general. To me, the thought of a long tube going into my spine freaks me out way more than a little miracle going through my birth canal.

I'm not opposed to pain relief, I just fear that it might do more harm than good. I am 9 weeks away and trying to gather info (even reading the glow articles about pain relief make me dizzy). Please advise!
