iui & follicle check??!!!

Question

What comes after the follicle check for a iui? Just finished clomid yesterday and have a follicle check coming up on the 28th of feb. but I am getting stressed out because I don't know what Day to tell my partner that he should u know! They said he has to be 2-5 days with abstinence. & I don't want to tell him to do it and then I mess something up anyone help please

Your doctor will/should tell you at which point he should start abstaining from ejaculation based on what they see on your scans, you won't have to guess

From my experience, if the follicle check shows good results then you will take the trigger shot and the IUI will be 36 hrs later. Our dr says have sex 2 days before IUI, abstain day before IUI, then day of IUI she recommends sex that night as well after IUI. As long as your partner doesn't have a very low sperm count issue I'm sure the 2 days in advance is perfectly fine and you will know that based on when you're triggering. Good luck!

If it's your first follicle check, what happens next depends on the follicle sizes- if mature they'll tell you to do the trigger shot. If not, you'll probably just be back in a few days to recheck. My dr had me trigger 36 hours prior to IUI, and suggests intercourse the same night as the trigger and then abstinence the day before the IUI.

I'm in my first IUI cycle. At my first ultrasound they checked the follicle size which wasn't big enough yet, then I came back two days later to check again, which is today. One follicle was ready so I was instructed to do my trigger shot this evening and have intercourse.  Tomorrow no sex and then Monday the IUI.
