my first miscarriage
9 weeks and 4 days today. My first pregnancy. Had light brown spotting all week. Today, it was more heavy, I passed a small black clot and the blood turned red. Drove to emergency right away. They did a pelvic exam, blood work and my first ultrasound. When the results came in my doctor told me my hormone levels were very low and the baby looked more like 5/6 weeks therefore had probably stopped growing around that time. He told me sometimes these things just happen and there's no reason why. I'm to go in Monday to get more bloodwork to ensure the hormone levels are still decreasing. He said it'll probably just feel like a heavy period. I'm so in shock . I heard so many stories but never thought it would happen to me. I'm trying to think positive and view it as a part of gods plan. I wanted a healthy baby, maybe this wasn't MY baby. He told me I could try again in a month after a normal cycle. I'm just so worried what if I get pregnant again and then I'm just anxious the entire time thinking it'll happen again. I'm also worried about what others will think and feel silly I told them early. : ( anyone else have a similar experience ? (My step childrens mom had her tubes untied and has had several miscarriages in the last 2 years- I feel sad I have to put them threw this too)
