Does every ivf procedure consists of shots?

Yes but they are not that bad. I am in the process now 7.5 weeks pregnant from IVF and my partner gives me a progesterone shot every night. It's scary at first but they don't hurt that bad. Tiny needles and I had a huge fear of needles. You also have to give yourself shots for about 2 weeks to prepare your eggs for extraction. It's a lot of shots but wow has it been worth it!

Yes, but you get used to them. They just become a normal part of your routine. The stomach shots weren't bad at all, the intramuscular shots aren't fun, but you just do them and get them over with!

I'm lucky that I go in everyday to my clinic to get my shots... Hah. They asked if I wanted to self administer or Come in, hahaha I couldn't give myself them or my wife, so I go in everyday

Yes for me it does. So far I'm taking two injections a day for one one week then I'm adding a third one next week.

It does but some of the medications have options like patches or pills or suppositories. I found out that I have way worse reactions however to non-shot meds. My husband does all the shots, as we agreed he needs to be a full participant, and while the needles are long for the intramuscular shots, it's over so quickly and the side effects are less, plus injections ensure the meds get to where they need to be consistently and accurately.
