For anyone who uses a menstrual cup- I really need your help.

How do I know if the cup is open? I'm using the Diva cup and I didn't use the c fold. I used the other fold but I don't know if it's opened up. Are you supposed to hear a "pop"? When it opens? It's in there and it doesn't hurt (anymore) but I didn't hear a noise.
