Will I still be abe to have kids?

So I'm 16 and my mom said that if I were to go on bc rn it would effect my ability to have kids later on. It's that true?

Not true. You'll be able to still have kids later on. I wouldn't recommend depo personally, but other forms of BC do not impact your future ability to have kids.

My mom told me the same thing when I was in HS 😂  I've never been on birth control and I'm 22. I prefer not to have hormones that aren't my own messing with my body, but that's just me I'm guessing. I'm scared of the IUD perforating my uterus so I won't get on that hormone-free BC. Lol. It shouldn't mess with your fertility but it does throw your hormones off, leading to weight gain and acne and super unpredictable periods.

LIES! I was on birth control from age 13 to age 22. Got pregnant at 23 with no issues what so ever. That pregnancy ended early for reasons that were not cause by any form of birth control. I got pregnant again at 24 and I am currently 12 weeks and 5 days pregnant with no complications. Birth control does not effect your fertility.

It's kinda concerning that your mother is willing to tell you something false like that 😕 Is she hoping to scare you into never using birth control? Or does she just not know that pretty much everything but the Shot is very safe for your future fertility? 🤔

Not at all. My aunty got bc at 14 for her periods and she got pregnant on the pill and it was the only way she could get pregnant. If she hadn't started the pill she would never of been able to get pregnant.

Not true. It might take a little longer to get pregnant once you are off BC only cuz the hormones but you are still able to have children!
