Which do you prefer?

Long story short. My boyfriend and I always disagree with each other on this specific topic, but I'd like to hear each of your opinions on why a baby SHOULD or SHOULDN'T be circumcised. Stories of the pros and cons would be helpful too😊 thank you!

If we have a boy, he will not be circumcised.

No one in my family is circumcised, my husband isn't and we didn't circumcise my son. I've been with men that were and honestly couldn't tell much of a difference, especially with the lights off. I personally find it really unnecessary. To each their own though.

I think to each their own. My husband and I decided not to circumcise our son based on our knowledge that there really isn't a medical reason to do so. We decided that as long as we teach our son good hygenie habits, he should be just fine. But, it is what ever the parent(s) what. I don't think any differently of someone for deciding to do the snip.

I would circumcized because it's my husband's preference and he would know better than me it benefits. Plus I worked at a retirement home and the argument is that if you practice proper hygiene it isn't a problem so you should focus on teaching your child that, but for most in old age, hygiene goes down and that's when infections arise and at that point circumcisions are hard on the body. My moms husband was also in the military and told of multiple instances where men had to get it removed because the foreskin became to tight (might be because of the high activity that it was so concentrated in the army).

I also always notice that the majority vote is for circumcisions in all these, but all the comments are for why everyone is against it. Just thought I would share the three reasons I would get one so you can hear both sides of the coin. Obviously this needs to be your choice though, but you and your husband/bf really should come to some agreement if at all possible if it's both your child.
