septate uterus... someone?

Question

Had 2 miscarriages in a row and got tested...I have been diagnosed with a septated uterus. Doctor suggested surgery, anyone gone through this?

I had the septum revision surgery, and then again after my followup showed there was some residual septum. It was an easy surgery, they go in through your cervix as well as laprascopicaly.  I did have some abdominal bleeding that required a stich that hurt a lot until it dissolved.  I had the surgery done before ttc, but I did have a missed miscarriage and two chemical pregnancies once we did start trying. I am now 32 weeks pregnant with no complications so far. I would definitely reccomend the surgery.

I miscarried in October and was told I have a separated uterus. I have not had the surgery and have also had issues trying to fall pregnant since. Did it take a while for you to conceive as well?

I had a minor septum and had surgery to correct it last aug. The recovery was a little rough the first 5 days, had a uteran balloon for 5 days and then on hormones for 25 days. After the balloon was out it wasn't bad, some light cramping but very little bleeding. I'm currently 10+5 and this is the furthest I've gotten, can't say it's all due to the surgery but I think its a part of it.
