So I just set my alarm for jury duty tomorrow (I live in Dallas, TX) and pulled out my summons to see the address of the courthouse and my jury Duty date was TODAY and not tomorrow like I had saved in my phone. Talk about pregnancy brain 🙄 (I'm 34 weeks pregnant). I'm going to call in the morning and let them know my situation as I would never intentionally skip jury duty but I did just now read that a fine of $100-1000 is possible for not showing up as is A WARRANT FOR MY ARREST. Naturally, because I can't contact them at 11pm, I'm stressing out over how stupid I could possibly be. (I tried getting out of jury duty with a note from my doctor but since I have a low risk/healthy pregnancy, she said she couldn't do that).
